Our BLUES NEWZ is STATELINE BLUEBERRIES offical publication .... This is a wonderful reminder that blueberries are ready it's time to come for a visit. It takes the form of a postcard. Rest assured that the BLUE PLATE special was still part of the publication; we had to leave out fun facts about the family. We will continue to update folks via this site and also through facebook. But remember... please... we are a family run farm and during the busy season we are not as technolocially advanced as a lot of our friends that visit the farm. The Web site.. is STILL The BEST spot to check on picking, etc... thanks for understanding....

Today is... May 2013
FARM UPDATE: closed Spring 2013
this is our 15th season owning STATELINE BLUEBERRIES~
more housekeeping notes:Please remember you pay for everything you pick. So try and only pick the blue berries. It is considered stealing to clean your buckets ( ie.. pick out the sticks, stems and green berries) before you pay for them. We thought this was understood but we've had some issues and felt it best to let everyone know up front! This is not to say that you cannot snack on the berries while you pick.. we still allow you to do that. It's for the folks who pick green berries and refuse to pay for them. When, if left on the bushses they would turn blue A quick housekeeping note:
PLEASE , PLEASE, show respect... It's only common courtesy!
********
PLEASE REMEMBER........
NO ANIMALS ALLOWED
Remember too.... the methods of payment that are accepted are the following.. WE prefer cold hard cash, but will take a check with a valid ID.
thanks for your understanding

.....STATELINE BLUEBERRIES is on Facebook!
Our facebook page seemed to work out wonderfully for us last year. Check it out. again this year we will be posting pictures of the picking conditions and fun folks are having on the farm.
Friends old and new will see another side to the farm. It's time your voice will be heard!
Everyone knows or will know, that i am the voice behind the site and the one who relishes your comments regarding the web site and info that gets out about our "fabulous.., hip..., happen..., in the NOW" farm! Now folks can help me get the word out. There are many days when allwe do is eat, sleep and dream blueberries. We are at the farm early in the morning and late into the evening. It is hard, at times, especially during the PEAK of the season to come home and update eveyday.
By posting on our wall, I can have others explain conditions and the fun at the farm. We are hoping too, to add photos and vidoes through this new venture. A way for freinds to meet, greet and stay connected. NOTE: Remember I am technologically challenged and please do not criticize too hard, although constructive criticism can be helpful, lets not go overboard.

It is great reconnecting with all our seasonal friends!!!! It's always fun to hear how the winter went. Some trials, some tribulations.... But all in all we must Thank the Good Lord for allowing us the grace to share in the memories of another berry season!!!!! The Word is out! STATELINE BLUEBERRIES has the BEST BERRIES anywhere in the U S of A !! I am recieving calls this season from all over the continental US wanting to know when berries are in so that they can plan their summer trip. A few folks even wanted us to send them berries ( they just can't seem to find any berries that can compare to those at STATELINE!) I'm sad to say that it is beyond our control and we do not ship berries.
Your comments and kind words, make it all worth while!!! Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to provide you with a Heatlhy Treat that compares to no other!

Remeber too, that as much fun as berry picking is you are coming to a farm. When picking berries it is suggested that you wear old clothes and sometimes bring a change of foot gear. One would also think to leave the technology at home. We have had an enormous increase in lost items that are electronic. Ipods and blackberries and the like. Unfortunatly these items do not get turned into our lost and found.
FUN FARM FACT:Fred Westphal planted most of the bushes in 1942. His brother actually owned the farm. Fred use to come and pick berries every year until his death in 2002. He was 97 years old. His memory and bushes live on.
***************************** HOW IT ALL WORKS........Once you've found a place to park, proceed to the sales shed and say Hola to one of the wonderful staff in the shed. They will instruct you as to the best spot to pick. Feel free to use our buckets or bring your own. We do ask that if you bring your containers you make sure the ladies behind the counter weigh your containers so that we can subtract that amount from the full bucket of berries. Take as many buckets as you feel you will need. No charge to use the buckets. BUCKETS and Ropes
are provided for your convience....THEY ARE NOT TO GO HOME WITH ANYONE!!!!..It is recommended that you bring your own containers to transport your tasty treats home.. although we do provide boxes in various sizes for a minimal cost PLEASE NOTE ALSO.....You must bring your money and your containers at the time of check out. You will not longer be allowed to transport your buckets to your car!
***************************** Don't forget to join the BLUES NEWZ craze. Make sure you sign up for your yearly publication and always be reminded of the start of the berry season! Once you have joined our mail list you need not sign in from year to year.
We would encourge you to e-mail us with your questions and comments, we pride ourselves in being very open and honest with our patrons. Although, we do ask if you e-mail us that you do fill in the Subject line of your e-mail...With SOMETHING PERTAINING TO BLUEBERRIES!~ otherwise it will be seen as Junk mail and be deleted before it was even read. We get hunders of e-mails a day and more and more of it is junk mail. This just helps ensure that your important e-mail is noticed! ~Thanks :>)
FOR DIRECTIONS AND A MAP GO TO THE KNOWLEDGE CENTER!
Important Note........DO NOT use Map Quest or any other location finder to look up our address, you need to go to the KNOWLEDGE CENTER to get directions to the farm. The other internet directions get you VERY LOST and it takes time away from our partons when you call and tell us you are lost when it's just as easy to click and get the directions straight from our site!
